Yuecheng district is located in the the south of Hangzhou Bay, the west of Ningbo-Shaoxing plain and the north of Kuaiji mountain. It is the political and cultural center of Shaoxing and the seat of the municipal party committee and government, with a history of more than 2500 years and known as "a museum without walls".
